Branding Design

The Johns Hopkins SAIS Middle East Focus Area is an academic program concentrating on the political, economic, and social landscape of the Middle East. The project involved designing branding for this Middle East Focus Area. The main objective was to develop a unique logo and branding for the Middle East Focus Area at SAIS to revitalize the program and stimulate increased student engagement. I utilized Illustrator to create the logo and accompanying icons for the branding. The most significant challenge was developing an original design amidst the numerous existing designs of various Middle East programs and organizations. The strategic use of colors and diverse icons provided the branding with a highly distinctive appearance. The outcome included a distinctive branding presence throughout SAIS, an impressive attendance at our welcome reception, and over 100% turnout at all subsequent events during the semester.
