Book Launch 360 Campaign

Johns Hopkins SAIS Rethinking Iran is a research and academic initiative examining contemporary Iranian politics, society, economics, and foreign policy. The directors of the initiative released a book in February 2024 called “How Sanctions Work: Iran and the Economic Impact of Economic Warfare”. The project was to create a 360 design campaign to raise anticipation prior to the book’s release and promote the book launch hosted at Johns Hopkins SAIS directly after the release. The primary goal was to create a visually compelling and cohesive 360 design campaign that effectively communicated the key themes of the book and generated excitement for its release while maintaining a consistent brand identity across all promotional materials, both digital and print. The challenge lay in developing a visually engaging and professional design campaign that effectively promoted the book while working within the constraints of a less than aesthetically pleasing book cover design. The resulting design campaign effectively leveraged the stripe motif from the book cover to create a visually consistent and impactful brand identity across all promotional materials. This cohesive design campaign successfully generated significant interest in the book launch, attracting over 250 attendees. The successful execution of this project significantly enhanced the initiative's visibility within the university and garnered widespread recognition for the new book.
